Flamingbox offers comprehensive, peace of mind maintenance contracts, ensuring an engineer will always be on the end of a telephone or available to attend site in the event of a failure. It should be pointed out that the sub-systems are in themselves extremely resilient and failures are exceptionally rare.
When designing an automated system Flamingbox includes back up and
maintenance options in order for the client to feel safe in the knowledge that their installation is more reliable and secure than a conventional, manual system. Home automation solutions are a series of connected sub-systems meaning that a single point of failure is unlikely. For instance, the sub systems may be:
• Lighting Control System • Audio System • CCTV System • Intruder Alarm System • Control System
Critical systems, such as the security, heating and lighting systems would all have a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) to maintain their state in the event of a power failure. Other elements such as audio systems are generally considered non critical, however a UPS can be supplied to provide continuous power supply.
Most power failures are short lived and the UPS would therefore provide constant energy during such a power out. To counter concerns about longer power outs, generators can be specified.
Lighting Control Systems have a ‘fail’ mode, although traditionally lighting control systems are extremely resilient. If system failure ever arose, the lights would be set to a pre agreed level.
